Russia-Ukraine War

I called it in March, Russia isn’t a top 2 army and will get embarrassed in Ukraine. Even a win at this point is an embarrassment.

Russia didn't even mobilise yet and it took 1/3 of Ukraine, all this with a 3 to 1 disadvantage of manpower, with an army backed & armed by the US, NATO military advisers, Western AA missiles, ammunition, artillery and so on. Why is everyone making it seem like Ukraine is so weak? They're a formidable force to be reckoned with, which Russia is dismantling without even declaring a state of war.

A few points:

1. Why does it even have to mobilise if it’s a top 2 Army?

2. Do you seriously think Ukraine is stronger than any of the NATO members let alone the major armies outside Europe?

3. Russia has left behind more weaponry in the counterattacks than NATO donations to Ukraine, meaning Russia is the largest single donor to Ukraine….

It is very obvious that Russia isn’t a serious military anymore in Europe, all they have left is nuclear sabre-rattling.

Putin = the emperors new clothes

Russia has embarrassed itself with the Ukranian invasion, the little respect their military power had in world has gone down the drain.... They tried to take Kiev but failed, then they told they'll go and take the donbas and they're getting whooped and losing grown on a daily basis... Don't tell me all this is a western propaganda :wow: :snoop:

1. Again, 3 to 1 disadvantage in manpower, Ukraine are the defending force, yes? Military doctrine states they have the advantage, yet they're still losing. More men, more support = advantage

Yet, they lost four Oblasts to the Russian Federation, with all them declaring independance, the Ukraine has been practically landlocked (they do still have some access to their coasts of course), but I doubt that'll be the case anymore.

2. Ukraine is significantly more ARMED than them, and are being trained by the best of the best elite NATO advisers/military command, they might as well be a NATO army.

3. Unproven facts and bullshit :dead:

Ukraine has been donating American M77 howitzer artillery units, AA stockpiles, grenade launchers and more to the Russian separatists for so long it's become a meme in Russia.

Isn't it funny how people like you and on this thread have to repeatedly downplay the Russians, whilst simultaneously comparing them to NATO, an ALLIANCE of the most powerful European former Colonial states backed by the US which was established just to COUNTER the Russians (Soviet Union)? If they're so weak and pathetic, why the constant hysteria and the need to compare Putin to Hitler? Why do you need half the planet to "unite" against them? :pachah1:

A 3 to 1 disadvantage in manpower is Russia’s fault. They thought they could win at such a severe disadvantage and now recruiting because that wasn’t the case.

I don’t see why you’re using their miscalculation as an excuse, it’s pathetic.

Poland is a larger donor to Ukraine than Germany, Canada and France.

Yet you would tell me that Ukraine is more armed than their third biggest donor, loool.

Horta are you a nacas or something?

I have never seriously compared Russia to NATO, I’ve compared the East to NATO or Russia to individual NATO nations.

The worry about Russia isn’t about their strength but about the precedent this invasion causes. Which I believe is BS, I am more worried about Russia ruining the legacy of anti-imperialism.

1. They ARE winning, wtf are you going on about? FOUR Oblasts are with the Russian Federation now, or are you going to somehow spin this as a Ukrainian victory? Even if it was a miscalculation, they still occupy Eastern Ukraine, the so called "counter offensive" you guys were jizzing on about last week has been stalled.

2. Ukraine as a whole is more armed than any other NATO state, with the US even complaining about their artillery stockpiles running out. You also do realise that every NATO state including the Juggernaut US is supplying the Ukraine with vital intelligence with their satellites? Even with this, the Ukraine's air assets have been demolished by the Russians, their air force conducts 2-300 sorties per day.

3. Precedent? Tell that to the West and their support for Israel, kulaha precedent, even if you believe it's BS, the Russian Federation's strength is what irks the US & the West, China included. They fear a true multipolar world, and the Russians refusal to play ball and lie down just like their Yeltsin years, that time and era is over.

I believe that Russia's military fortunes will change pretty drastically by March of next year, however, that won't mend their now broken image as a significant power.

Please explain with reasoning, Russia wasn't even taking this war with Ukraine seriously, they took into account civilian lives and only targetted infrastructure when necessary.

The Russians just can't win anymore, one minute they're a weak inept pathetic force when treating the Ukraine with utmost concern, hoping to decrease civilian casualties, the next they're a psychopathic war mongering state hell bent on conquering the world when they take the kiddie gloves off.

Insane.

Again, 3 to 1 manpower disadvantage, without full mobilisation, and they still took the East of Ukraine.

Your 3 to 1 theory makes the Russians look even more. Ameturish.. Why send your soldiers in such a predicament if you can afford otherwise.. Also their airforce is absolutely inept and incapable of controlling the skies over Ukraine.. So far this war has been a disaster for Russia.. Putin should resign and retire already.

Four oblasts when they already held 2. Of the other 2 they gained, they’re being pushed back in one and don’t hold the major cities in the other.

Ukraine gained more in the Kharkiv counteroffensive than Russia did in the three months prior.

Provide sources to back that up and by sources I mean a source that shows Ukraine has a large arsenal than any other NATO state.

Russia has resorted to buying Iranian and Nth Korean weaponry, just because Ukraine is in a better situation doesn’t mean that Ukraine are suddenly worldbeaters.

Do you seriously think multipolarity happens through military confrontation?

NATO was at the brink of collapse a few years ago and is now stronger than ever due to Russia’s confrontation.

The reason China and Russia have reached these levels of influence in recent years is from peacetime, so what makes you think they’ll reach further heights of power through confrontation?

The harsh reality if Russia really wants to be on the same level as the US, they should enrich themselves. Their people live in atrocious conditions outside Moscow and St Petersburg.

Same goes for China, both of them should improve their HDI, Gini and GDP per capita.

The US has always placed a huge priority on domestic affairs, due to the fact there are elections every four years, alongside its foreign affairs. The USSR ultimately collapsed because they cared more about foreign policy than domestic policy.

Exactly, they always avoid this point.

They attempted to take the entirety of Ukraine with that amount of soldiers, in reality they can barely hold onto four oblasts with that amount.

Fun fact: Russia doesn’t hold 100% of any of the oblasts they occupy.

Really? Amateurs huh? From my perspective, that is a deep testament to the Russian militarys effectiveness, imagine WINNING a war with a 3 to 1 military disadvantage, and people call you inept.

Interesting.

Oh please, this "counter offensive" you guys have been harking on about has failed, the Ukrainians have been STALLED, I don't know how many times I have to keep repeating this.

Provide sources to back that up and by sources I mean a source that shows Ukraine has a large arsenal than any other NATO state.

Straight from CNBC

I’m greatly concerned. Unless we have new production, which takes months to ramp up, we’re not going to have the ability to supply the Ukrainians,” Des Roches told CNBC.

Europe is running low, too. “The military stocks of most [European NATO] member states have been, I wouldn’t say exhausted, but depleted in a high proportion, because we have been providing a lot of capacity to the Ukrainians,” Josep Borrell, the EU’s high representative for foreign affairs and security policy, said earlier this month.

MOST of Europe's stockpiles have been sent to the Ukraine.

The harsh reality if Russia really wants to be on the same level as the US, they should enrich themselves. Their people live in atrocious conditions outside Moscow and St Petersburg.

Lol, accounting for PPP, Russia has a larger economy than Germany, lol.

The reason China and Russia have reached these levels of influence in recent years is from peacetime

Lol, look up Obamas Pivot to Asia protocol, do you live under a rock or something? The US is arming Taiwan to the teeth, and are hoping to use them as bulwark against the Chinese.

The Russians had every right to refuse Ukraine joining NATO, do you even Realpolitik? Why on earth would any Nation State choose to ignore a neighbouring State joining an alliance whose whole purpose is to curtail said Nations interests and safety?

Same goes for China, both of them should improve their HDI, Gini and GDP per capita.

I love how this guy completely ignores the fact the Chinese achieved the greatest economic milestone in the human races history, that is pushing a billion + people out of poverty into the middle class and beyond.

Kulaha improve :dead:

Winning the war? When did they win? They invaded a country and received a massive ass whooping, do you define that as a win?
