Russia hasn’t captured Bakhmut yet and so far in this war they have been getting obliterated by the Ukrainian defence forces.

The fighting in Bakhmut is a complex operation but the Russians have a clear advantage and the result of the battle is all but certain.

The only reason the Russians are being delayed in their capture of Bakhmut is because the Ukrainians keep sending constant reinforcements that achieve nothing tbh.

The Russians are just grinding them down slowly at little loss to themselves.
