Russia-Ukraine War

NYC metro has bigger GDP than Russia. the west sees a chance to bleed putin to death. we will see in 4 years time who still stands. my money is on the west if they sustain the pressure.

The USA not fulfilling more of it's false promises. Looks like there will be no F16s to Ukraine, just like how there will be no Ukraine in NATO.

It would be jokes if they did though. Would be funny to see them get destroyed like the Leopards.

The battlefield conditions in Ukraine are currently "not ideal" for the employment of F-16 fighter jets, said Lieutenant General Douglas Sims, the director of operations of the Joint Staff, on July 13.
"The conditions right now for the employment of the F-16s are probably not – they're probably not ideal," the general said at a press briefing.
"I mean, the Russians still possess some air defense capability. They have air capability. And the number of F-16s that would be provided may not be perfect for what's going on right now," he clarified.
Sims however added that the situation is changing over time and this will dictate how will fighter jets be employed in the future.
The Pentagon also said that Denmark and the Netherlands have taken the lead on training Ukrainian pilots on F-16s.
While the U.S. appreciates these efforts, the Pentagon spokesperson Brigadier General Patrick Ryder did not reveal any information on the American role in the initiative.

Ukraine's Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov announced on July 11 that the "fighter jet coalition" has been officially formed during the NATO Vilnius summit.
In particular, he highlighted the role of the Dutch and Danish partners, adding that training will start as early as August and a training hub will be set up in Romania.
In May, allies agreed to build the coalition to help procure the U.S.-built F-16 jets for Ukraine and train Ukrainian fighter pilots.
Ukraine has received Soviet-era MiG-29 fighter jets from Poland and Slovakia but has been pushing for more advanced aircraft. The Ukrainian Defense Ministry has previously said it requires at least 48 F-16 fighter jets to liberate territory from Russia.

lmao, Russia, US and Ukraine never banned cluster bombs. Infact russia used them in the war

I have no idea whether what you are saying is true or not. I heard Scott Ritter say otherwise but on the other hand I don't know what a cluster bomb is and I don't have a particular opinion.

I was posting it for this:

this is the truth. with an ally like the US, who needs enemies? the US has a horrible record with its allies and this is not "anti-US" to say this- it is the truth and it is a reality of the US record with its allies. even Reagan talked about it. even a US patriot should acknowledge this fact. if they really love their country, they should demand better for their partners.

US friendship is a disaster for Ukraine. I believe those poor Ukrainians are under a North Korea type state.

How could what Macgregor describes not be the case? As it is, they're under a pro-NATO government. If Putin had his way, they'd have a pro-Russian government.

Is whether the government is pro or anti NATO or Russia... is that more essential in their interest or whether they have a future? The direction they've been led in is not remotely in their interest. wallahi I've worked for Ukrainians (I used to work for a Ukrainian owned company) and I genuinely care for them and respect their culture. their leadership has led them off a cliff. I believe they have to be under a North Korea type state for them to be led in the direction they've gone.

NATO is "fighting to the last Ukrainian". There's a lot of gain for NATO but sheer loss for the Ukrainian. The US needs to do better for its allies.
