He was never losing to begin with though. The bordering former Shuuci European countries were, and are, shit scared of him. They wouldn't dare manufacture a conflict with Russia just to start a war of mutual assured destruction between NATO and Russia.

Apart from securing the future of Crimea and 'protecting' the Russian Language in Eastern Ukraine, this war is a personal, nationalistic, vainglorious obsession for Putin. I can see why it hurts the Mongrel if the cradle of the Rus people was to drift further West.

The Ukrainians wisely let them in instead of frontally attacking them. They let them into the cities and then they blast russian military vehicles that are sitting ducks on city streets. If the Ukrainians had done the opposite, that is if they had concentrated their forces and attacked the ruskis directly, this would have been over yesterday.

Even if one were to accept all of that... the casualty figures are nonsensical; it's one thing to entertain the possibility that Ukraine is incurring costs and significant casualties on Russia, however, it's another to accept that Russia has lost thousands while Ukraine has lost hundreds.

This is nowhere near as full scale invasion. Nearly 200k deployment is fake news from the west. Putin is doing a precision strike, you don’t need 200k soldiers for that. However, it’s not going according to Putins plan, I am sure he’s frustrated at the slow progress in and around Kyiv
