When is comes to the arms race the soviets were miles ahead of anyone else. Russia is going to recreate the soviet empire
Their military hardware is just as good, if not better. The fighter jets are surely better since their latest generation of fighter craft is not prone to falling out of the sky unlike the American counter part.
It's just like when people belittle Chinese military hardware simply because it's Chinese. Uncle Tom isn't the most powerful and glorious.
You seem to forget that the United States has already developed a 5th generation fighter jet - the F-22 Raptor a good 10+ years before China or Russia.

Russia is inflated iguana (iguana inflates itself as a defense mechanism when threatened but still gets killed). Putin knows what he is working with and that's his nuclear Arsenal but besides that they got fragile economy and economical creativity. They are merchants of death cause they only sell weapons. They have no pop culture and not that much influence in the world.

Actually Russian military is the best in the world. Their special forces the spetsnaz are the best of the best. Their airforce is magnificent too with their latest 5th generation stealth fighter
