Salaam Somali bank along with Mastercard also unveiled the new Waafi multi - currency prepaid card.

They have joined or still in the process, but I'm sure they can now issue IBAN numbers, I've seen one from Salaam Bank.

They'll still have to charge fees to cover the costs of maintaining and using the SWIFT system which processes transfers through multiple correspondent banks.
