SCANDAL: Leaked messages show government meddling in Electoral Commission.

Farmajo never fails to astound people with his corruption. But who actually expected transparency and decency from a Kacaan nepotism benefactor?

"Welcome to the Club"

Somalis and corruption go hand in hand the last time we had an independent impartial election committee was 2012. They were so good, there's a documentary on them showing behind the scenes how the pulled off the last local election.

So much drama, police and army fighting each, politicians trying to get favour and him shutting them down.

They all got fired a year later and all replaced by lackeys

We should all thank Allah that they haven't extracted Oil/Gas yet because the lack of accountability, oversight etc, is super scary.

The President and his inner circle can basically do whatever they want without any repercussions.

If you want, grab the popcorn and enjoy this inside look into Somali local elections - behind the scenes in English narrator on NEC operations

No Somali State should even touch it until proper systems been built.

And so far none have it, not even Djibouti breeze we all know he keeps the majority of money he earns from the country.

Go to Djibouti, you'll see the difference in wealth by street, only thing that's good there's good roads everywhere

The first thing that needs to be done in this hellhole called Somalia is teaching protocol, security and running basic literacy and IQ tests on any public official. In addition to installing a diverse team of overseers who babysit this zoo. The entire system is set up to allow for a dictator.

When Farmaajo was campaigning from Nairobi. Who called him a "spoiler" or an "agent of Kenya"? The hypocrisy of his corrupt circle is so disgusting.

This election has been so distasteful and filled with propaganda and hypocritical lies. N&N fans and bots are literally salivating and begging for a dictatorship.

I don't even like Shariif, HSM et al, but I respect their undeniable right to oppose Farmaajo, as I do any candidate.

Somalia in New Risk of Delayed Polls Over Electoral Commission

As the political stalemate in Somalia's elections intensifies, it is clear that the elections will not take place on time, given the much-delayed election timetable, following a dispute over the Government-appointed Electoral Commissions.

The political agreement reached between the Federal Government and the regional governments on the verge of collapse and a new rift between the Federal Government and Jubbaland could cause a delay in the electoral process.

The government ordered its ambassador to Kenya to return to his country, and have called ambassador in Nairobi, Kenya alleging that interfere with internal affairs and administration for undermining the treaty vote.

Concerns that this election will delay the country, as the country enters a period of political and security crisis, are on the rise.

Abdi Barre Yusuf, a former lawmaker, called on President Farmajo not to lead the country into chaos and chaos and called on him to do the good he was elected to and hold free and fair elections.

Several politicians have also called on President Farmajo to leave the country and not let his political ambitions get in the way.

The Union of Presidential Candidates recently warned that if the Federal Government insists on an unsatisfactory election they will conduct an electoral process to save the country.
