It just occurred to me while I was watching a lecture about this one christan arab historian and tensions that came from him writing islamic histor novel's and being appointed at a university . One of things they talked about what was the tensions of him being christan and writing about this stuff. It made me realize that the sectarianism you see in the arab world becuase of the presence of shias and christans. And in south Asia with the presence of Hindus and shias . And the debates these generate about issues of identity and culture etc. Simply don't exist in somalia. Like real full blown relegious tension becuase of the presence of shias or people who share your ethnic identity and culture but are hindu like in south Asia. I think we're the only ones right? I can't think of another Muslim country where this is the case
