I heard that they even receive money on different sides like in Gaalkacyo. If the money gets sent to a branch on the wrong side of town, they don't bother.

There is no such people in East or West of Burco. There is one people in Burco.

Reality disagrees. The whole reason this new stadium was built in west Burco is because the youth from that side of the city don't want to use Alamzy (could be due to distance or other reasons). Although I doubt it is about distance since Alamzy is in east central .

It is segregated but not the level of Galkacyo (two admins). South Galkacyo once had 3 regional presidents back in 2009-2012 days, so it takes the cup of most segregated city in Somalia followed by Burco then Beledweyne.

I was there in 2016, 2018. The segregation is not visible for newbies but only if you ask or get asked (since all Somalis look the same specially Burco city folks and you can't tell who is who most of the time).
