The other day I recalled my visit in Ohio and remembered visiting a Somali restraunt. It was me, my dad and brother. it was small. i sat down and we were waiting for our food. all the somali men started looking at me funny, it was a weird atmosphere. one of the guys working in the restraunt came up to my dad and was like there's a family section. i felt tht it was kinda weird of tellling us to sit elsewhere because of me. it wasnt like a high class or even a moderate restraunt either we were accomodated in a very awkward part of the restraunt. in the back near the restrooms and near the kitchen. i rememeber watching a video on how certain college which was muslim dominated somwhere in europe i think u.k had students segregated. it was a debate or something, the nonmuslim lady was like why go into the trouble of segregated the sexes in terms of assembly and seminars, and the muslim lady was like why not. i could see both sides of the argument.
and then in somali culture( not sure if this is just my family or the ppl ive been around) but women and men seemed to be seperated the women have to sit on the floor or the kitchen , while the men dominate the dining tables. it reminds me of the time in am. history where blacks and whites were seperated and the blacks had to sit in the back of the seat or the most uncomfortable part of the restraunt. even in the mosque women are given the most shittiest corners, and the most prettiest part i the males part. im not sure where im getting with this but just an observation. wht r ur thoughts?

Well I never looked at it like that But when it comes to the mosque I think it would be very uncomfortable for the women when they are bending over knowing theres alot of guys behind them

It's better to eat in the family room than have some random odays and ni99az staring at you every minute.

Go to Somali restaurants ratings and you'd see people complaining about what I just mentioned.
