But the answer to your question is culture. Somali and Arab culture see men as more superior to women and that men are womens' protectors and they take that to mean women can't talk back and when they see women sticking up or doing something for themselves they get angry because they believe they are the "big strong" men and that it's their God given right to rule over women.
