the problem is that in Islam we have extremists who wouldn't hesitate to kill us all because we don't follow their way al qaida and other extremists have alot in common with salafis in fact some could argue they are salafis

they are giving a bad name to islam with their ultra strict interpretations and outward hatred for humanity
