Puntland ought to acknowledge that a majority of Somalis are disinterested or ignorant about federalism. Anyone mentioning or advocating for Federalism are 9 times out of 10 from PL. I think the national government needs to reform and fix itself and tackle the puntland issue, They need to split up and redraw all the current states into smaller regions. Also they should make official plans for ogaden aswell and the rest and just see as their territory. Then you can devolve some powers to the smaller state, its a win-win. No single state has to much power to challenge the national government. I mean I kinda do understand puntland people right now, theres no way in hell Id give any authority to the current national government. Which begs the question, why do they support it?

The problem is hawiye who want to govern the whole nation under a siyad barre model only because they sit in the capital and thats just going to extend the conflict as we all fight for power wallahi hamar won't be at peace but the conflict will escalate there as all Somalis rush in the capital and cause problems so it's not even in their interest long term but hawiye are never forward thinking as they never bring national solutions and always plays defence so they think anything darod proposes is evil by default and they need to oppose it even if they don't sit down and debate it thru.
