Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi asks Muslims to stop criticizing Saddam Hussein

Yusuf al-Qaradawi: “The man died saying ‘la ilaha illallah,’ how can anyone curse a man who says ‘la ilaha illallah’? Anyone who’s last words are ‘la ilaha illallah’ goes to paradise. The thing that improves (the record) of Saddam Hussein, is that in his final years as the brother of Iraq tells us, he was a changed man. He began to strictly observe the prayers, to read the Quran and do charitable work. He would hasten to do anything that may help people. He used to help build Mosques and he would say if anybody wants to build a Mosque, the government should pay half of the building materials. When they entered his secret hideout and caught him, they found a prayer mat and an open Quran.”

What he did was wrong only allah can judge him now
