Shias and Christmas

Tankies and many people in the West often perceive the Shias as the more laid-back sect and consider them the more tolerant group.

In contrast, the Sunnis are seen as stern traditionalists, unwilling to change their beliefs to appease others.

For example, in these videos, Shias are seen wishing people "Merry Christmas." Is this considered acceptable within their religion? This isn’t an attack on them, I'm genuinely curious. Can anyone here shed some light on this phenomenon?

Shias are often portrayed in the media by tankies, even mainstream media, as protectors of minorities, while Sunnis are depicted as backward savages intent on killing minorities and desecrating their churches and shrines. While it's true that the cursed khawarij committed such acts Ilaahay naarta ha ku fogeeye lakin this is frequently used to unfairly generalize and paint all Sunnis with the same brush, especially since the liberation of Syria.
