This Potemkin village with a population of less than 50,000 should no longer be considered as an administrative capital. There is not a single kilometre of new metalled road built since the last one was built by the Italians. It is nothing more than a desert outpost with no access to any water source. The administrative capital should be moved to Kismayo with all the decisions being made from the residence of Ahmed Islam Madobe.

A very good example is what happened 2 nights ago.. some sub clan militias of isse maxamud called bah awrtable took over the local government complex and hold it for ransom several hours until some elders from their clan came to mediate..Despite Deni ordering onslaught on them and retaking the local government through presidential decree most of this backer in Araan jaan who are from the militias clan refused..
Even the police commander muxiyadiin gacamey refused the orders.. this has been happening under all puntland president btw.
