Since Maalin is semitic in origin, what is maalin in Somali?

That was a claim made by the username
( Garaad Awal ), as he said:

It is indeed Semitic in origin, there is nothing wrong with this

Is this evidence?

You should know that the Somali language was written almost fifty years ago.

Is the presence of this word ( maalin ) in the Ge'ez dictionary proof that the Somalis borrowed the word ( maalin ) from the Semitic languages?

With your twisted logic ,
it is possible to say that the Somali word ( aabo / aabe ) came from the Semitic languages, since the word ( ab أب ) is found in Arabic, Hebrew, Ge’ez, and Aramaic dictionaries.

the title. is Bari equivalent to maalin?

This my proof that the somali word ( ugaas ) is a somali word, NOT from South Ethio-Semitic languages as I posted to you previously in your post ( in Somalispot : Culture & History section :
Is Amharic that different than other Semitic languages including Ge'ez? ) .

In Maay we say Gee/Geeka for maalinl/maanta.

@Maakhri from dhahar Do you know where 'Gee' originates from or if other languages have it.
Unfortunately I don't have any information about your question at the moment .

How do you say ( sun ) in Af Maay ?
Is ( sun ) a feminine or masculine noun in Af Maay ?

For example in Maxaa Tiri ( Somali language ) : ( sun ) is feminine noun .
we say : qorrax ( sun ) ,
qorraxda ( the sun ) .

From my knowledge of for sun we say Iriidha. Not sure if it is feminine or masculine though.
