I was speaking with a friend recently, a single brother who has not been married before.
He said that he has given up on finding a first wife and wants to go straight to a second one
His rationale is that he has so far found it difficult to find a first wife, and since it appears that many married brothers have no problems finding a second wife, that he should perhaps go down that route instead.
This did not make much sense to me, but then it occurred to me that perhaps he is trying to find a second wife to be his first wife
That if he could find a woman who was ready to be his second wife that he could just accept her as such, which would do away with the need to find a first wife in the first place.
One of the advantages he mentioned was that a woman who is prepared to be a second wife will, in general, have lower expectations in a husband
He's my friend after all so I told him look at it this way
If a single woman would pursue a married man, are those the kind of morals of a woman you would want a relationship with?
But he's still sticking to this plan
I just don't think it's a good idea to start a relationship with a lie
What do you guys think?
