Little lesson on history the Ogaden people resisted the Ethiopian rulers and made military groups and liberation fronts one of them is ( Western Somali Liberation Movement Youth Union, ) and then they started protesting and fighting the Ethiopians until Somali government got involved to defend the Somalis from real genocide.

WSLF was trying to pull Somalia in and due to Barre's greater somalia agenda, he invaded. ONLF is just an Arab mercenary nothing more. Listen harar relations with Somalia was ended in 1925 (when British gave away harar to Ethiopia)

Listen wallah my own grandfather worked with SYL and he is still alive, give me any info or links about harari people joining SYL (names, dates, events) I will check everything. SYL members were between 16 to mid 20 old when they started their struggle against European colonial in Somalia.

Plz post the names of harari policemen and harari colonels in Somalia? My family worked in Somali government and they hold the highest positions at that time. Post the names and with some phone calls I will double check them. Small note siad barre never allowed the Yemeni people who took Somali citizenship in past to enroll in police and army services( never allowed foreigners none ethnic Somalis to hold high positions in army or police)
