It's a pretty common fact among historian circles that the idea of the land of Punt being in northern Somalia/Somalia in general is outdated and not proposed any longer. With that being said, the region of Puntland has a complete misnomer. Change the name as there is no evidence of Punt being over there.
And while we're on the topic, the style of using the 'land' suffix really needs to die among Somalis. Colonial days are over. Or did Dhulpunt sound too stupid to choose?
