Somali back home don’t pray daily

I have learned from my cousins back home Somalia people don’t pray especially in big cities like Mogadishu. And masjid is almost empty not only that on ramadan they fast without praying

The only people who sometimes don't pray 5 times a day are the small kids tbh (age 7-14) but they will later pray 5 times a day as they grow up. Apart from them kids Everyone else prays 5 times a day

When I lived in Djibouti for a while when I was 12 the mosques are full on Fridays but not so much during other days. People would pray at home or wherever. Mosques are packed during Friday prayers ofc.
This Is how it is in all places.

Yeah it's the same all over the world. I remember a sheikh once complaining during the khutbah saying why is the mosque always full during jummah but not in other prayers too

I have been to North Somalia and Kenya; every Salat is packed.

Yep. I can’t recall the amount of times I was 2 min late and had to pray on the dirt. Salaah is taken very seriously.

Yes, most of those who pray in mosques are children and old adult men (Above 28 years ) Young people do not pray much I don't know how people here think that everyone prays
Just look at the markets at prayer time, they continue and people do not go to the mosque
