Does anyone remember the phenomenon known as the Somali Corner in Hyde Park? When I was 15 i used to binge-watched these videos where they dispute over anything and everything five years ago, I still picked up a few things from their ngl. My interest in Somali history may have been sparked by discovering these videos.

They are an good resource for the youngsters.

Somali corners a place where non somalis disscuse somali issues. I really didn't like it much. The audacity of non somalis telling us who we are or how to act. Plus a lot of what they said was wrong.

True but for me who had no information of anything about somali history it was a really good starting point for me.

Interesting. I would say it's a good start for somalis in the west to get to know about somali history and the somali proud spirit. I only got interested in somali history when someone told me who are you and where did you come from. It was then that i tried to ask around and research about where we came from and what is our history.

Yeah he still on that train i tuned into his live last week and he was saying Somali had a civ prior to Sumeria and the concept of yin and yang was created by somalis.

He believe dijaal is a system not a person and that shaytaan don't exist but everyone has a shaytaan in them.

Do you think it has something to due with the fact that he links it to arabism. Usually people that go really deep into the rabbit whole of our history tend to have this ultra feeling of pride and think we where better off without Islam. I say this because it reminds of the video when he was debating this one Arab kid who said they civilized us and brought us Islam it was the Arabs. He refuted it rightly so by stating it was from ALLAH SWT, however from there I feel he hasn't been the same.

I wouldnt say he left islam but he is very misguided. A lot of people call him kaafir. He was the one who created this whole “does waaq = Allah” convo. Let him speak for himself.
