Somali diaspora moved back home?

Guys I’m curious. What do you think will happen if every single Somali diaspora moved home over night. What impact do you think we’ll have on the Somalis back home? Will we turn qabilist? Will we be a negative influence? What kind of scenarios do you envision

You don't have to worry about the locals. But worry about the heat and mosquitos specially if you go to Kismayo, Jilib, Jamaame, Berbera or Luuq.

I think the locals will definitely increase the rent prices.

I actually think what were seeing now in the u.k will likely increase massively over the next 10-15 years and we might even get a couple pogroms . This would be around the time somalia's economy starts to boom and i could see the European diaspora going back home as the cadaans kick them out to a rapidly improving somalia bringing with them their expertise and money.

I'm actually hoping this happens since it could supercharge somalias growth and we would need less foreign experts.

if I wasn't so pessimistic, I'd like to think that somalia would gradually grow in terms of developing as a nation. Having foreign education from diaspora somalis could create more jobs for somalia but the current climate of our corrupt government would definitely put a "hold" on it as they don't like to see somalia succeed or al shabab seeing as they consider everything haram even the development of somalia

Most of the diaspora is still young too. If all of us got sent back Somalia wouldn't be receiving thousands of doctors, scientists or engineers .

The only way to create jobs is to get foreign investment like china did and force everyone to works a productive job

If we follow the Chinese model we’ll be developed in 25-30 years the outrage over a few dead tribal leaders will be gone once the locals taste wealth
