Somali food = best food in Africa?

Don't want to come off as auto-felatiating but I never seen any other African cuisine that comes close to Somali food. It's just so diverse from Somali tea to Sabayad to Baris to Oodkac and don't forget the GOAT breakfast Beer & Canjeero.

Never realized this until recently after trying different African restaurants. Nothing even came close. We really do have some really good ass food holy shit.

It really is, I've been to so many different ethnic restaurants and nothing even comes close. Arab food is bland as f*ck, most African food is simply not fit for human consumption imo, and the less said about Asian food the better.

Now that I think about it. Somali food maybe the top 3 in the world. Right up there with South American and South Asian food.

That's what makes it great. Stole the best from Italy India Arabia and everywhere else that interacted with the Somali coast and then tweaked it a little to make it ours. I don't need to go to an Indian restaurant to eat rice when we cook better rice than them neither do I need to go to an Italian place to eat Pasta.

Apart from the coucous it's not unicorn special, the sauces they make remind me of the suqaar with veg my aunt makes me for breakfast. As for West African, we have plantain and baris iyo yaanyo isku dhex karis aka jollof rice, plus we fry fish too.
