Somali galbeed government and ONLF sold out Somali galbeed long time ago. For instant look how they and Ethiopian government signed a deal on how Somali oil should be distributed. And the Somali region share of this profit will be 25 % and 24% to Ethiopia's federal government and other "ethiopian regions" and the rest "49%" goes to the oil company that will do the job. Somalis own that oil but they will get only 25% while other regions will share 24 % and they don't own the oil.

OLF will not fight for an independence referendum they feel as though their lands are held in other states. They will fight for the power to control everyone else like all humans do eventually. Their main focus now though will probably be to “return” addis and Harar to oromia region.

I understand the frustration of some of the segments of Ethiopians about the current map by the election board. It is not only Somalis but also Sidamas who are not happy with the map. The issue of Somali state and its number and also the Sidama issue was raised to the election board and it explained it like this. The election board created the map using the old TPLF figures without changing any numbers because it is not mandated to change constituencies without conducting a new census. It is the unfair manipulation of TPLF that is now hunting us and I am very sure it will be corrected after the next census. The election board simply doesn't have the mandate to change the old figures without prior conducting a census.

Apart from the raw numbers, the Somali state has now more powers and influence in the federal government than Tigray. In fact just few days ago the last TPLF held ministry was given to a Somali lady Filsan Abdullahi to become the youngest minister of Ethiopia. Somali region now has more ministers and is also more powerful than Tigray region in the federal parliament and government because of clever power maneuver from its president and leaders. Even if Tigray has more MPs in the Parliament 38 out 547, they are not part of the government that controls all the rest of the seats. They are only oppositions without any say in the federal government. The Somali state is part of the federal government and part of the decision making cabinet as a full member. TPLF currently has zero ministers in the federal government.

What is the current power of the TPLF how many soldiers do you think they can field?

Also is their army counted amongst the federal armys. i.e when they take their soldiers out does the Federal army lose soldiers?

ONLF is playing for a referendum and plans on bolstering itself with state budgets worth hundreds of millions. They also plan on assimilating the liyu a fighting force of perhaps 40k.

ONLF was in shiniile in 2009 with qalbidhagax leading it, and OGs dont even settle there, we were fighting for ciise at that point, having liberated most of other regions.
