As much beef i got with the other unfortunate ethnicities in the horn. I prefer their cultures to the west. Somalia's education system should teach other cushitic languages in the language curriculum. Arabic first, then perhaps you could choose between Oromo, afar or smth else. Like in England you can choose between French and spanish.

latin already does the same job, also makes learning english more easy. ge'ez is probably shit if we're being practical

All cultural/civilsational blocks have their languages based on their own regional script. Would be beneficial for the whole horn to adopt a single script.

Exactly ge’ez has a long history behind at least it wouldn’t look like a larp script that would be invented in the current year.

Poland is catholic and feels close to Central western Europe so it adopts the Latin script used there.
Whereas the other Slavs are orthodox and invented Cyrillic script based on Greek since orthodoxy was heavily Greek influenced.

Koreans and Japanese and other adiadn surrounding the red giant all used chinese characters. But Japan adapted chinese characters for their own language creating Japanese writing and Koreans invented a whole new script in 1440s because the Korean king thought chinese was too hard and invented a simple easy script.

Most east asians used Chinese language for high levels things since though until a few centuries ago.

It’s an Abugida. Oromos used to use it
But it is very clumsy in writing in Oromo. You literally have holes where you can't actually even properly write certain words you just have to assume and infer from experience and context what is meant.
