Minneapolis Police Department arrested Omar, Mohamed Malik on Friday, January 13th, 2017 and charged him.
Omar is being charged and alleged the dissemination of nonconsensual private sexual images – intentionally disseminating images without consent.
According to a community sources, Omar allegedly shared a video over the internet of himself and friend, raping and videotaped a Somali American female and shared the sex video without the consent of the victim. Omar shared the video through social media. Apart from distributing the video via the internet, Omar also sent copies to the woman’s parent and to her friends.
