I had to learn how to cook entire meals for the family like bariis, baasto, pizza, lasanga and on top of that bake bread all of this at the age of 12.
My moms reasoning was that a good husband cooks for his spouse and good wife cooks for her husband, While that could very well be true i felt like she wanted me to set an example for my siblings.
I kinda hated it in the beginning cause it felt unfair but that feeling dissappeared when I realized I was helping my family and with time I actually gotta liking for it and now Im a great cook if I say so myself.
