Why was he only charged with second degree murder? Bc he played video games and took drugs? Is that enough to reduce a sentence? Shocking. Also he used to abuse the children and tore the babies lips from her gum as punishment for crying. He should be charged for that. He should also be charged for trying to throw the baby in a dumpster after he killed her.

But this baby was killed in cold blood. Who cares if he planned it or not? Isn't there a harsher sentence for child/infant murder? Bc it doesn't require planning, they're always off guard. 12 years is too low.
Second degree murder is the highest charge he was able to be given. 12 years is a joke though considering second degree murder is still publishable by life in prison.

How long is life in the US? And it's not the most he could've received if you include all the crimes like the damaged mouth of the baby and the attempted disposal of her body, I don't know why that's not a crime if it isn't.
I don't know in the US. But where I am, it is life without possibility of parole for 25 years.
