What is it with somali people cosplaying as khaleejis has it always been like this or is this a recent thing. Because I've been to lots of wedding when I was young and have never seen someone wearing this khaleeji dress

It’s been a thing for a while, I’d rather we wear our traditional somali clothes, but for men there doesn’t seem to be a lot of choices for somali wedding attire compared to women. What do yo suggest they wear? The alternative is wearing a suit which isn’t somali either
