Why do we always get buzzcuts? Our ancestors grew their hair out and they looked cool as hell, why don’t we grow our hair out too? I’ve mad a commitment to grow my hair to my shoulders

I tend go from near-buzzcut, to letting it grow out for 3 or 4 months, then rinse and repeat.

I now never let it grow for longer than 4 months. It becomes too bothersome to manage then. Longest I ever went without cutting was 8 months and I didn't like it.
