I don't think Somalis have more bidaar than other races. You see bidaar middle aged men in every race. It is due to a byproduct of testosterone production in men.

I think Somali men definitely have way more bidaar then other races men aged 25-30 especially are starting to get it and it's actually quite depressing lol

Nonsense. You are confusing big foreheads with thinning hair. It is not the same thing. Even Somali women have big foreheads just like the men.

Wrong. It's just a myth sxb.

The prevailing myth for years has been that a high testosterone level is somehow bad for hair, due largely to its assumed propensity to increase DHT. We still occasionally get pestered with the age old question, “will lifting weights increase hair loss, due to the increase in testosterone.” First of all, the borderline moronic way most people train (or overtrain) will have little effect, if any on raising testosterone, and even if it did they would likely be helping their hair in a roundabout way. An associated myth is that balding men are somehow more virile, with the perverse paradox being that hair loss likely reduces the chance of having “virile” encounters. One study evaluating hormone levels in men with hair loss revealed that men with MPB actually have lower testosterone levels than the non-balding controls. So much for the myth of increased virility.

:hmm: I think you mis-understood "by-product of testosterone" for testosterone. He never said testosterone is the main cause. @Amun was saying that DHT (Dihydrotestosterone), a androgen that is converted from Testosterone using some specific enzymes (hence by-product of testosterone), is the main reason of MBP (Male Balding Pattern). Which is true because of how DHT attaches it self to androgen receptors on our hair follicles and shit to start the balding process.

There is something about men with bidaar:patrice:. My mum says there is sense of maturity when men loses their hairline now I'm beginning to think it's the truth.

Words of advice though guys shave it of and go bald. Messy bidaar makes me gag.

True true true. I misread his post. I thought he meant that high testosterone was a cause for balding which many people to this day still believe.
You said that main cause of MBP is the conversion of T to DHT which I agree partially. It'is a huge factor though, otherwise prohibiting this conversion by using an anti-androgen drug wouldn't be a success.

DHT attaching to the androgen receptors is just what starts the hairloss, it's not that catalyst nor the reason why it starts. I did a journal project on this back in first year microbio and through hours of reading scientific journals I realized that it's impossible to pinpoint to one thing and be like BAM this what causes hairless for all humans universally. All of us carry different genes, so we'll all have different reasons and factors that start it. I did find out that one of the bigger factors of hairloss can be attributed to our hoyos and their abos. Here's a quick vid that explains it better than I would.

True many people think that just because their father has no signs of hair loss that they would be safe which isn't true after all. I know bare gaalos who are beginning to bald in their 20's while their fathers still have most of their hair. The best approach in combating hair loss is a multi-faceted one ( diet, anti-androgen, nizoral, excercise, oils, less masturbation) if you have an aggressive form of MPB that is.

People over exaggerate when it comes to these things, Somali men and women typically have high foreheads that sometimes protrude, for men who get regular shape ups this can look like male pattern baldness. Neither of my paternal grandparents on both my mother and father's sides were fully bald in their 50s and 60s, what every man goes through is slight recession as they age, only a minority keeps their hairline as it was in their teenage years.
