I am so proud of our arm forces, it is only a matter of time before they eliminate the forces of evil that have terrorized the innocent for more than a decade. Soon we will welcome a new era of success and welcome a new generation that will grow up in a stable country with laws and dignity

Turkey is a NATO member and its military conforms to the NATO standards. Somali army needs to copy this system. This will put us on the right track and above the neighboring countries. Luckily Turkey is willing to help. But, we need to always push the envelope a little further on our own for betterment. I am talking here about structural changes. Weapons gets outdated, but military structural design stays firm for a long time.
Do you think al shabaab going to last for long time or do you think the going to be defeated very soon and do yoy think they stand a chance against the turkish trained somali soldiers

It's very hard to gauge when this will happen because for an effective army to exist, the government institutions must be strong. There should be a reliable source of revenue (taxation). The army must be provided (salaries, houses, children's education) so that officers and soldiers can start and build their families.
We are in a vicious cycle. Without foreign assistance and management it might never happen because Somalia has stage 4 cancer called Al-Shabab that is sucking up the resources and keeping the Somali society broken.
The Turks are moving at a slow pace. Maybe they are building up capacity of the SNA and waiting for AMISOM to leave Somalia to get the UN/AU of their way.
The positive side of warfare in Somalia is its flat terrain. It should be relatively easy to conduct clearing operations against Al-Shabab. If you study the Turkish operations in Syria, Iraq, Libya and Azerbaijan, the Turks used locally trained assets, provided high-tech support and only in highly difficult battlefields used their own special ops. This was the case in the Afrin (Syria) and Qandil (Iraq) regions. Both areas are mountainous and were highly fortified by the enemy.
I believe once Somalia gets its oil/gas flowing things will start happening. We really need to get maritime dispute with Kenya finalized and keep an eye on the so-called Somali opposition. They might be doing the dirty work for Kenya and the UAE.

He is scared because he is losing. Deni never expected the SNA to be this powerful. Combine that with the power the FGS has to withhold funds if Puntland decides to no participate in the election, and Puntland will lose.
They miscalculated every action of Farmaajo and now they are begging the IC to stand by their side. The last 2 presidents both got extensions on their terms. Why isn't Farmaajo allowed the same?

While the previous Presidents were busy pocketing all the forgein investments. Farmaajo took all that money and equipped the Somali military with the latest weapons thanks to a little Turkish engineering.
I mean they could've done the same thing but instead these snakes were a little too occupied purchasing homes/hotels overseas.

What military lol? No navy, no air force and the so called "army" is just a ragtag brigade of beautified militias. Only the paramilitaries eg Haramcad, Gorgor have potential but they can be wiped out no problem thanks in part to the disproportional clan makeup heavily made up of MX n Dhulo
