What is the reason for Somalia not being able to progress against AS. They have far better training, funding, weaponry, and general support than their opponent. The environment isn’t even that suitable for guerilla warfare its not a jungle or a mountainous country its mostly clear semi-arid land.

The amount of Foreign troops alone is more than triple what AS could field. The Somali army is similarly around 20K all together whilst AS is no more than 10K.

My guess is Somalia is lacking in leadership more than anything. The officials are corrupt and have found a comfortable way of life in the current status quo Farmajo could have been a game changer but instead he decided to start a clan war for Jubbaland

If we want them gone, we have to do it ourselves. We aren't gonna get foreign investment as long as safety is an issue.

I say unemployed people, illiterate people, lack of nutritions contribute lack of critical thinking.
All this gives alshabab endless amounts of foot soldiers and funding, they can manipulate poor people to give them the little they have.
The elite in xamar mostly are not interested in the betterment of Somalia.
It's more of a business for them. They are getting millions for doing nothing

I'm a I would agree to sacrifice my qabiil for Somalia, but the problem is most other qabiils respect us and have no beef with us.
So it probably won't convince other clans to fight against dir
