If you could choose a monarchy to rule over the Somali people, which clan would you choose?

A monarchy could promote equality, leading to greater social cohesion and stability, and provide a strong and centralized governments with a clear chain of command. And could potentially help reduce conflicts and improve law and order.

So from an objective perspective, which clan would you choose? Without bias.

Personally, I would choose from the Madhibaan, Tumaal, or Yibir clans. They have no quarrels with large clans (who perpetuate the endless conflicts), have good work ethic, among other reasons.

I think a monarchy would be a brilliant idea, know in terms of which clan to pick from. I wouldn’t know, and to be frank I wouldn’t care as long as it works and leads our people to prosperity.

A constitutional monarchy, with a prime minster picked from one of the majority clans every 8 years.

Traditionally Somali years go in 7 days cycles and there are 7 major Somali clans so we can have isaaq king on Monday year, D&M king on Tuesday years, Darood king Wednesday years,Diir king on Thursday years, Hawiye fridays etc. Sunday and Saturday is for cadcad and jweyne.

This is so messed up. We are not Christians. We don’t see lineages as “ordained”. Look at Morocco and their Banu Hashim King that was videoed drunk in the streets of Paris

I’d vote for Ajuuran if I’m being completely honest. I liked their empire and their achievements and they aren’t a big clan, so we don’t have to worry about corruption. Hawiyes would need to back off them though.

In all honesty, I don’t want a single family ruling Somalia. That’s messed up.
