Akhi, good lookin spacious Mosques are not cheap walaahi. We have this small Mosque and it's cost us over 1mil.They looks shabby at best, bare and in disrepair

Taxes, utility bills, maintenance costs and sadaqaa money being sent to those in need. Unless proven others we shouldn't assume the worst.

Regular occurence in the gulf (before 'rona) where we have mosques everywhere and very big ones too. These mosques can never hope to accommodate all the worshippers who come for prayers like Jumca without being the size of a neighborhood. I rather like it, at least if it's not on a scorching summer day. Praying out before the mosque, beneath the sky, surrounded by hundreds to thousands of fellow worshipers. Spiritual experience.

there was a somali mosque in Norway they had 3 million in funds that was missing when the police showed up the somalis started arguing about who is in charge of the mosque which qabiil
The police gave them 1 month to decide whose in charge when the deadline ended they still where bickering back and forth so the cops shut down the mosque
Why couldnt they trace the money to their accounts and see who spent huge sums of money suspiciously

Literally not surprised one bit! Mosques are cash cows for so-called “sheekhs”, ya know the type our deen warned us about! One of the first persons to enter hell will be who?
Only thing I wish the Norwegian authorities did though is criminally charged them, because by shutting down the mosque they only punishing the innocent community while allowing the criminals to flourish and move on to their next victims without consequences.
Maybe they set up a fake charity to donate the money or they placed it in different banks by the time they trace it the money is at another bank
