In Australia, the majority of Somalis are from PL who arrived as 20 something year olds from 1985-1996 but the newer migrants (2013-present) have mostly been Southerners.

Well crime is a crime. i agree that fobs do crimes that attract media attention but a lot of killings is done by the ones born there (gang crimes don't attract much attention.).

Gangs violence however rarely becomes headline news while this semi-terror attack stuff fuels far-right sympathy. It even turns centrist whites to become racist and rightwing. It is more important that this stops rather than the gang crap.

very true. for example, mass shooting happens every week in Chicago but you don't see them in major national tvs but other types of mass shooting get more attention. think maybe it is political since Black mass shootings happen in democratic cities.
