Recently I’ve been fascinated with Japan and it’s country as a whole. Pretty much the best thing about the country is it’s nationality laws and it’s safety. The country has many national parks and tourism attractions. I feel like Somalia should definitely model the country after those things.

You see I’m having trouble considering if not allowing dual citizenship is a good idea. A lot of the diaspora wants to sit comfortable in the west and rent out a house they bought for cheap in somalia to someone who wants to live there. I say either your all in or your all out. I think that should only apply to government positions. No one in the government, federal or local should have dual citizenship. It should also apply to the military.

Personally I’d say in order to get dual citizenship you need some kind of excuse. You can’t just be a average couch potato from America and want a dual passport just because your somali. You don’t deserve it

I would say allow dual citizenship as long as they are sunni muslims with no kind of degeneracy and dont hold important roles public or private. Infact they should be allowed to apply online and their passports handed to them upon arrival at the airport and even hold ceremonies there.

Those who want to rent out a property and live in the west or whatever are useful in the immediate future as they would be building and renovating properties. However we dont want a situation where properties are expensive for those who live in Somalia permanently resulting in housing crisis. I reckon if we dont allow foreigners to engage in this deal then it wouldnt have a massive impacted.

If your parents are Japanese you automatically get citizenship unless your a child with parents that are unknown. There’s no automatic citizenship if your born there unless your Japanese. Need to live in Japan for 5 years and be able to read/write in Japanese.

Dual citizenship should be allowed to ethnic Somali civilians. To hold a govt position at any level you should relinquish a foreign passport
