Somali nomadic lifestyle

The average Somali in baadiyo lives a much more peaceful and content life and also has a more cleaner diet than the average Somali in the west who stresses way too much over bills tax rent and has a much more unhealthier diet 💯💯

u imbecile, Baadiyo dwellers have been living off ukranian grain, and caano boore.
Even tea, which is a city beverage, somehow reached baadiyo. This isnt "traditional" somali food. Try uttering "cad iyo caano", and you'll be seen as a mad man.

Recent years and this is only in places closer to the city. They only drink caano geel in most places.
only true geeljires subsist off of only caano geel, and regards beans as a delicacy, from what I've seen.
Yeah ur right i didnt go deep into baadiyo.
what was ur experience, and is ur claim anecdotal?

Some Reer Baadiye now smoke, some even drink.
Livestock has reduced in most Somalia areas due to droughts

It is a harsh lifestyle meant for thousands of years ago.

Some of my relatives ran away from camel herding and they made something of themselves.

The ones who stayed behind all have around 10 kids Born into illiteracy and a life dependant on rains/remittances. It’s an unsustainable and brutal lifestyle which causes degradation of the soil.

maybe it’s a good thing that the environment is getting harsh. We need to move away from pastorism and find other ways to generate income and wealth.

yeah, during the ka'an era, abaar in baadiyo sped up the literacy campaign bc the baadiyo folk had no more cattle to graze.

The only baadiyo I've been to is near Xamar and they use imported things from Xamar like grains as you mentioned but not Nido. I've heard of further baadiyos who don't have a good connection to the cities like the ones in desert Mudug are traditional geeljire.
