Hi folks!!

When I was in South Africa use to hear Somalis in Minneapolis kill each other for pointless reason, jealousy, cash money, etc. It was a joke to me.
Last week I pay a visit my cousins living area Cedar on my way I saw a boy middle 20s who dress exactly gangs, I try to stop him then he run away from me walaahi couldn't believe that still SMH, he said "walaahi dadka raadineysid ma ahin bro meeshaas taagantahay walalken baa lagu diley"
Imagine I was only trying to ask the entrance of the building.

What's wrong with our people?

Minnesota use to be really bad back in the days, but it has changed now.

Btw, don't walk up to strangers if u don't know them. That's how people get shot.

Lol parents they are not. These types shit out caruur and leave them to their own devices until they really f*ck up and that's when they send them to Somalia's wilderness tuulo to yet again leave them to their own devices. I wouldn't call them parents.

You can be from tuulo up North or middle region of Somalia, come to America and educate your self to become a good example, on the other hand "you can born a big city and become an idiot". This behavior is something coded in our gene, you can't change it, only GOD can.
If your parents thought you a good manner then you will follow their footsteps, if they were careless same applies.

I think its more of an identity crisis and lack of parents getting involved in their life

They see all The other black People dressing like "thugs" and they are scared of not being accepted and feeling left out so they copy that thug lifestyle

And their parents rarely care how they doing in school they usually know If their kid is doing criminal stuff they tend to look away and act all is fine

Another thing I noticed is that somali parents are stricter with everything when it comes to girls school, friends, clothes its like they expect more from their daughters than sons

Also sending them back can work or backfire depending on who is watching over them id say the first couple months throw em down in miyiga let them realize The struggles and Hard work People do after that ocassionaly go to The city hoppfuly when he returns hes a changed person

For the majority of the Somali teenagers, they didn't choose the thuglife, the thug life chose them.
You are who you involved with. If you go with good buddies then is cool, but you choose to become gang member you can do so.
Be smart when you thinking.
