Somalis is a young diaspora, whilst their parents send their wealth back home and buy lands there, their children will not do the same and will settle down and buy their own property, government housing has declined and they won’t be a priority as their parents were, so they have think about buying and rather than renting

At the moment. the average Somali earns 1 goat an Hour but it is expected that by 2050. Each Somali citizen will have 99 goats an hour. Livestock is the new oil and gas. Them sand niggas are running out of oil soon and even they will return back to their roots.
I have never seeen a rich somali in my life. Even the somali drugdealers are poor

I made a friend in uni, she was a Somali from dubai and she was paying international fees and then I found out her dad used to own dallo airlines and another Somali girl from Kenya, Somalis in the west are gaajo, but outside they are balling, how can you pay 40,000 pounds per year for university if you ain’t richI have never seeen a rich somali in my life. There’s a lot of rich somalis, they don’t live in the west, my Djiboutian aunts is best friends with the wife of the minister education in Djibouti, but my dads side is rich Djiboutians, I don’t know why my dad pretended To be from Mogadishu to get passport from the west, i could have been like my cousins going to France for university and then going back to my mansion in Djibouti, I’m the poor side of my family

I can only speak for my diaspora in Ohio and a good amount of us are upper middle class. Many are established business men and woman who bring in 6 figures yearly. Truckers make bank too. The experienced truckers can bring in 10k monthly. Most of them own and operate their own trucks as well. The potential in Ohio is insane and it’s super easy to make money without even knowing English. A lot of Uptis and Habyars own daycares, home health cares, medical transportation, restaurants, pharmacies, clinics and trucking businesses. And that’s only the tip of the iceberg.
There’s a growing affluent “business” elite within our community, a lot of them live in the Gulf nations and only come to the west to get their children educated or on holiday. As of recent ive seen them become much more involved within somali politics which I can’t really say is a good or bad thing.
I'm upper middle class technically. Work as a manager in a pretty good company. Won't say more than that. Work hard and be ambitious in life.
As a gulf Somali I'll admit a lot of gulf Somalis are indeed well-off. Many rich business owner and well-trained professional types here but there are some who are just getting by, don't get that wrong.
I believe the gulf somalis are wealthy but the somalis in the west are dirt poor living in gouverment buildings living of welfare
