The people in Somalia know no other way of life,Gunshots and day light assassinations are a norm for them.

For the last 3 years I have been closely following Somali politics and I realized it’s literally a repetitive facade with no direction or light at the end of the tunnel

I was going through a phase that
All young Somalis have been through I think ( a staunch nationalist)

That phase has now come to an End
It’s time to say good bye to Somali politics and just get on with my western life and wish Somalia the best from a distance

There’s deep state in Somalia which wants AS and status quo to remain and damuljadid are complicit. Many sides oppose this. But our less than free politics keep us locked in a ouroboros cycle.

Quote sums up Somalia perfectly
The people born in the 90s when the civil war started already have children of their own now. And that's depressing. Two generations born in war. But progress has been made. Somalia now is not the same as it was back in the 90s. We have a government and a military. Give Somalia a chance till 2030.
This articles highlights some of the progress that has been made
1.Significant gains in the fight against Al-Shabaab, as a testament of Somalia’s militaristic recovery;

2. The lifting of the arms embargo on the Somali government, as a testament to Somalia’s increasing security, the responsibility of the military to their arms, and Somalia’s decreasing dependence on African Union intervention forces;

3.Somalia’s entry into the East African Community (EAC), as a testament to Somalia’s recovery of its political institutions, and their increasing stability;

4. The overwhelming majority of Somalia’s debt being forgiven by the Paris Club, as a testament to their economic recovery;

5. And significant gains in Somalia’s economy, such as sharp increases in Somalia’s GDP, and their debt compared to GDP percentage falling drastically in the span of just a few years.

Damuljadid and the likes can’t even be fought because of Ana qabil
No unified front

This is not true. Somalia as a whole is slowly stabilizing over the past 20 years. Somalia in 2024 is more developed and better governed than it was in 2014 or 2004. The founding of the TFG and Cabdullahi Yusuf’s subsequent entry into Villa Somalia on Jan 8 2007 firmly reestablished the Somali state.

Alshabab’s insurgency is obscuring the growth of state capacity across all of Somalia including the south.

Chinese were stuck like this for a century and even then they still bounced back, i dont get why people think somalia will be stuck in the dump forever

If you were to visit Xamar 2014 and visit it today, the difference is unbelievable. Somalia did improve but for us to really get there, AS must be eradicated. Their presence is the main reason the country isn’t going forward the way we’d like it to.

Somalia's entry to the EAC was on the instructions of the west. To dilute Somalia with bantus and change the demographics. Somalis had no say in the matter.

If you think Somalia is sovereign in any way you need a brain transplant.
