When I was going to Somalia with my dad last year, he pointed to a guy that was getting through security with his family. He told me that the guy used to be a restaurant owner from Wembley, London but is now a MP in the Somali government.
Also apparently, the head of Aden Adde airport used to be a bus driver in London too.
