Somalia could possess new military vehicles in the new Egypt-Somalia military cooperation agreement

Our country should address its internal issues and align all Federal Member States to unite our people in confronting our long-standing enemy, Habesha.

Ethiopia has a legal presence in Somalia, with plans to withdraw by the coming December. some FMS, like Koonfur Galbeed, have resisted this, as Habesha holds significant ideological and military influence within.

Military vehicles mean little as long as our people remain divided.

According to a recent report by the UAE’s National daily newspaper, Egypt has currently deployed a contingent of 1,000 commandos to Somalia, with plans for an additional 10,000 troops to arrive soon. This contingent will include 5,000 personnel under the auspices of the African Union Mission in Somalia (AUMIS) and another 5,000 as part of bilateral agreements with the Somali government.

In addition, the delivery of advanced military equipment, including anti-tank weaponry, radars, missiles, and drones, is imminent, with the transportation set to occur via military warships in the coming days.
This was reported at the start of last week. I honestly think we're heading to a war. Even as disfunctional and having had the arms embargo lifted just 6 months ago we should never fear defending ourself from an aggressor who wants to take our Land either by force or by subjugating us into an agreement.

Somalilands Somali baa leh!

Egypt will not be attacking Ethiopia, idk why so many of you are confused.

Egypt is only there to deter Ethiopians invading Somalia and trying to set up on the Red Sea.

The Egyptian military has long term plans to destabilize Ethiopia and after stabilizing Sudan. I think they are betting on trying to annex the dam or have a friendly region control it.

Having Ethiopia on the Red Sea where they would be able to not only attack Egypt more easily but cause issues for them in the red sea is what they are against.

If and it is a big doubt, Ethiopia tries to invade and set up a sea port then the Somali government can legally attack them as it is within Somalia along with its allies (read Egypt).

So Turkish and Egyptian navy's will be stationed in the Red Sea in Somali waters and Ethiopian troops could be bombed out of the north by the Somali government (likely armed and helped by the egyptians to eliminate them). And it would all be legal as it is Somalis territory being invaded.

The Egyptian troops being stationed near border areas would be a security measure to deter Ethiopians not to invade necessarily.

Egypt also has voiced interest in "ending secessionism in Somalia". That would probably start with strengthening SSC.

If Abiy goes the route of force Ethiopia will truly fall apart and not just Somalia, but also Eritrea, Sudan, and Egypt would be able to arm the rebels and the country would disintegrate, we could take back galbeed and it would be helped by Egypt first and foremost as they are interested in weakening and dividing it as well.

That is if Abiy is stupid enough to take such a route. So far, Somalia is in a good position.

The audacity of this Ethiopian...

Calling in Egypt was the right move, Turks are too light hearted as mediators, a third party with a heavy hand with interest in destroying the dam is exactly what Somalia needs.

it doesn’t really matter if they’ll be fighting directly or not, if they can use us as a pawn which they have armed that should be enough.

The arms look like they could establish a deterrant in areas the SNA already controls or is likely to control. If the SNA can reach the border areas and set up their defences it would prevent Ethiopia walking in and out and that's at least a face saving measure but it won't really help with the political problem in Somaliland.

They certainly have a plan for that, if you think Ethiopia is just going to waltz in. Our foreign minister is serious when it comes to Ethiopia, he’s even willing to execute any Somali who’s with them.

They don't have a plan for most of the south which is right on the doorstep.

Let's not see some equipment and get totally carried away with what is possible.

Rabid dogs like Fiqi who only know violence are going be the end of whats left of Somalia.

Yeah it’s funny seeing them cope by saying shit like. “Egypt doesn’t care about you guys”. Obviously they don’t care. All countries care about is their self interests, and it’s in Egypts interests to f*ck over Ethiopia here.

It just goes to show many of our people are too low iq to understand how politics works. But I have hope cuz I see some smart somalis on tiktok going viral explaining all of this in afsomali.
