Somalia Economic Block (EAC or HAC)

Do Somalis benefit more from EAC or HAC ?

EAC (East African Communities)

In these countries, christianity is the predominant religion. We also have no Allies in this confederation, meaning we have no political power. We have business interests in these countries. Majority of Somalis millionaires have benefited from EAC such as Uganda, Kenya & Tanzania. We have a Billion dollar market such a Eastleigh and massively contribute to said economies and The Somali diaspora massively invested in these countries. Besides individual somalis these achievements provide little to no value in our nation and no substantial growth to our economy. We have no trade corridors connecting Somalia to kenya as of now & NFD has the lowest economic growth in Kenya and a lack of Somali cultural identity such as Somali being taught in local school etc, despite the fact that we control major political positions in Kenya and also provide the most to Nairobi’s economy (Eastleigh)

HAC (Horn African Communities)

The establishment of the Horn African Communities (HAC), which is set to be made up of Somalia, Djibouti, and Eritrea, can strengthen its Muslim majority. It has many ethnicities who share common ancestors with Somalis and also remnants of the Adal empire. Somalia can become a major Regional force and also in this Economic Bloc.
Several economic partnerships, including the Tog Wajaale Corridor, seek to improve connection by developing infrastructure, particularly between Ethiopia and Somalia.
This will facilitate trade. Ethiopia's Somali region is expanding rapidly, the Somali region is the center of Somali oral tradition and is taught in Universities and local schools.
The Gara'cad port, set to serve the isolated Ethiopian population , it would need the construction of dry ports and railroads in the area boosting Somali region’s and Somalia’s economy. Providing jobs to youth etc.
Eritrea's proactive participation in Somali army training demonstrates a common dedication to security & interests in the region.

one is full of stable and prosperous (by african standards) countries with established somali communities

the other is poor, unstable, and full of people that would wipe each other out without thinking twice.

Same, that’s why I voted for EAC. If Ethiopia isn’t included i want HAC though.
would be totally worthless without ethiopia.

EAC is the obvious choice, we arent ready for a trade union with ethiopia either way

Doesn’t include Ethiopia.
Then what’s the point? Somalia and eritrea only? Useless.
Ethiopia will probably join EAC so this talk is useless, at least we could gain more leverage, much better than us and Ethiopia alone

Somalia had an observer role in EAC since 2011. Check Sh Sharif twitter. Should be online the observer status letter. If you need the letter let me know, i got a twitter mutual who posted it, our admission into the org was reviewed and delayed. We kept re applying and in 2019 farmaajo re applied. Even ethiopia is trying to join it. Its simply an economic bloc. Like BRICS. Yet no one would say BRICS is converting everyone into mandarin or russian speakers kkkkk. You gotta spot the nuances of these ppl (cbb) they were the ones who spread rumours AAW sold the sea kkkkk yet it was afwayne who abandoned claims of galbeed in an IGAD peace deal in 1986 to convince ethiopia to stop funding SNM and likewise somalia stop supporting eritrea. Similarly abdirashid/egal stopped supporting nfd ambitions in 1968. You can be against the EAC for your own reasons like you can be against the arab league, but Cbb will do anything to promote opposition, grievances and anger at HSM so be careful in treading a fine line.

“It’s simply a economic block”
You can fool some people but not all of us.

The EAC Treaty shows it’s clearly not only an Economic Block. If you really did your research you can see it has Regional Force troops that are currently in DRC to fight off the rebels including “Rwandan (EAC Member) backed rebel M23”. After 1 month of DRC joining they conducted the first ever EAC military operation.
As of today DRC wants them out because of “Lack of effectiveness”https://www.thedefensepost.com/2023/11/26/drc-wont-extend-force-mandate/

We all know Hassan Homeless has failed in the 1st Phase of the war on Al shabab and asked to extend the Atmis forces beyond their Deadline.
It won’t surprises us when we see Rwandan troops “liberating Ceelbur & Middle Shabelle” and Atmis Forces switched to EAC Regional Troops.

“Spread rumors of AAW selling the sea”
