Somalia needs a new capital and Fast!!!

Mogadishu is the Istanbul of Somalia post World War 1 but we need an Ankara or a Washington D.C type city because it's hard to rule from such a big city in a country as large as Somalia. What makes it worse is that it's a city that is growing a little too much with no architectural standards. Tin houses are the norm, more and more Idps keep coming due to the significance of the city. We must move the capital now and force illegalize IDPS in the city. Any land that belong to the Army or the government before the civil war should be re confiscated. All the hotels built on NGO and corrupt money should be handed over to the government.

Once that is accomplished we should move the capital to Jowhar. A much smaller town with a river and agricultural abundance. It's strategic and easy to control. If the government of Somalia settled their it would devolpe much faster than Xamar and it's on the main highway as well.

We should make Mogadishu the economic and military capital while Jowhar stays executive and legislative.

I recommend making a new capital from the ground up. Create a city from nothing then populate it with people from different regions to promote diversity and make sure no one people is the majority.

Maybe Ras Hafuun. Its a good location. It's got good history. We'd have to populate it with people's from different regions though

Again I recommend Ras Xafuun to be the capital. It is the most Eastern point of mainland Africa. It has amazing history. Strategic position. We would have to diversify it and we should modernise and build it

Your forgetting merca, easily the most beautiful and culture rich somali city

You can’t say merca was built by Italians, most buildings in this city are older than the italian identity itself
