Mogadishu population has grown more then 10x in 50 years

I’m surprised merca was the third largest city it seems to have lost its importance nationally

It was on a downwards spiral after this point really, the port became less useful as Bosaso/Berbera developed.

Hopefully it can be restored back to its former glories soon

What major differences do you notice between 1972 and 2024?

This tells me Somalia has reached their peak- which was 1970s. in 100 Somalia will not exist as it will be dead sea.
