Can't speak about the rest but my home Puntland have dramatically changed in 30 years from only having a port and highway as only infrastructure to universities, institutions electricity local governance to areas so far of the grid that no admin been there since Boqor Osman. Bosaso was a village with a port to have a modern international airport, boat factory, tuna factories exporting beeyo live animals etc

Like I said can't speak for others but SSDF evolved into PL and PL seen nothing but change since 1993

Not true, today we are let everyone govern thier territories with certain nominal responsibility to the central government. If we manage to achieve that and share resources equally, walle you will never see a MJ anywhere near a cabinet position in Xamar forget the top seats. It's changed from fighting and waiting for a national government to focus on our lands and provide for our future generations, from depending on konfuur to becoming self-sufficient.
SSDF alone did not found Puntland but changed politically creating a union with SNDU and USP with inviting Ortoble, Deshishe, Kaskiqabe to build a strong foundation and build a state and decided to promote a federal system while developing a huge land where no infrastructure exited.

Maybe your kin haven't seen change but northeastern regions have, it's been better for locals after 1993 than it ever was before.
