The reliability of wind alone can't be the only source of energy, the wind can change anytime for a very long period of time. Having Sun as back-up is a good idea just in-case power generated from wind isn't sufficient, they can tap into the sun. It's good redundancy planning!!!
The effect it has on pricing will be interesting to see, apparently it has brought prices down already with competition or another plant it will cause a competition to occur like has happened with the telecommunication sector with cheaper prices being felt by the consumer. So as a sole trader of this key commodity, we are kind of hostage to him and his pricing unless PL govt steps in an regulates the hell out of it.
As ur all aware electricity is like the key singularity that unites all productivity in the nation, the second u take out the power, nothing can really be done anywhere. No factory, no phones, no nothing that relies on energy. So if we don't get this right and I MEAN really RIGHT, everything depedent to it will go haywire and be impossible.
I compare energy to what amni is to horumar, u cant have horumar without amni and u cant have productivty and investment without energy.
