It is basically all in Mogadishu where Journalists cannot afford security teams following them everywhere, or to live in hotels that cost hundreds by the week.

Could be but the government had threatened several journalists just for expressing their opinions. Some of them ended in prison. The most famous case was young journalist who grilled HSM in foreigners workers in Somalia, has to escape to Uganda (he was threatened after the interview)

These 4 journalists were in prison for one article about election. The article was boring expect one sentence that made HSM mad. " if Somalia holds one man vote tomorrow Farmaajo will win" they ended in prison for months.
